    The Parent Coach Plan is committed to helping parents master the art of child and teen discipline. Our goal is to empower parents and to improve the behavior of their children through the use of our website and our unique and proven discipline products.
    PARENTING TIPS
    1.) Create an environment for your child that is safe and nurturing.
    2.) Create an environment for your child that is consistent and structured.
    3.) Use behavior contracts or behavior charts to improve behavior.
    4.) Do not demean, degrade, or humiliate your child for any reason.
    5.) Choose your battles wisely. Some are not worth the hassle.
    6.) Spend quality, uninterrupted time with your child EVERY day.
    7.) Be firm but fair with regards to discipline.
    8.) List, post, and enforce household rules and expectations.
    9.) Be approachable and willing to discuss difficult issues with your child.
    10.) Be supportive with regards to your child’s education.
    11.) Pay attention to “red flags” and address them immediately if present.
    12.) Avoid using empty threats or intimidation to change behavior.
    13.) Yelling, nagging, and shouting are not discipline techniques.
    14.) Be a good role-model. Set a good example for your child.
    15.) Encourage your child to participate in sports, scouts, activities, or hobbies.
    16.) Communicate frequently and find ways to connect with your child.
    17.) Teach positive character traits and good values.
    18.) Treat your child with respect and expect the same in return.
    19.) Teach and practice positive social skills and effective coping skills.
    20.) Promote healthy habits, including exercise and healthy eating.
